Dalot wants Man Utd stay

Manchester United defender does not want to join Roma

13 November 2021 - 20:50

Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot has no plans of leaving the club during the summer transfer window.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • The Portuguese was linked with a summer move away from the club, but ended up staying as they could not find a replacement.

Dalot has since struggled for regular playing time. Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been an undisputed choice at right-back when available.

This has led to suggestions that Dalot could move on. Roma are interested in him, but the full-back is set to turn them down.

Dalot is determined to fight for his spot at United. His current deal expires in June 2023, but he is open to extending his stay.

United are expected to recall Brandon Williams at the turn of the year. He has hardly played at Norwich City on loan.

Williams has been the second-choice right-back in the past, but reports claim that he could be loaned out to another club.

United were interested in Kieran Trippier last summer, but they seem to have cooled their pursuit of the England international.
