Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard has emerged as one of the top targets for Newcastle United next month.
The Magpies were undertaken by a Saudi-led consortium in October, and they are expected to spend big on players.
There could be a spending spree in January, and The Times claims that Lingard is one of their prime attacking targets.
The England international has snubbed a new United deal, and he will enter the final six months of his contract in January.
Newcastle have already initiated talks with Lingard's agents. They are ready to offer a four-year deal worth £100,000-a-week.
West Ham United are also keen on landing Lingard, but the Magpies are willing to pay a significant transfer fee to sign him.
The Tyneside outfit recently picked up their first win of the league campaign, and they are now within three points of safety.
The owners will be hoping that the club can jump above the relegation zone before the New Year to boost their transfer business.
