Former Valencia boss Ronald Koeman has faced a barrage of abuse from Juan Sanchez, the Valencia secretary of sport. David Albelda, Santiago Canizares and Miguel Angel Angulo were all dumped by the Dutchman, but have now been recalled as Valencia battle for La Liga survival.
Valencia secretary Juan Sanchez told AS: "I was very surprised about what happened with those three in December, because they are magnificent professionals.
"In Albelda's case, I was really surprised. Such an important man, one of our own and with everything he went through to get to this level and after everything he has achieved.
"He deserves to leave this club in the most dignified way possible. If now he tries to help the team, as he is doing, we should be eternally grateful to him for it."
