Gareth Southgate's Middlesbrough have emerged as early favorites to snap up coveted midfielder Steve Sidwell from Chelsea this summer. Newcastle and Aston Villa have also been linked with a move for the player.

    Sidwell has only made seven starts in the Premiership for Chelsea since joining from Reading, and wasn't even given a Champions League shirt number this year.



    Sidwell is reportedly keen to try his luck at Middlesbrough next year.
