Manchester United are deemed favourites to sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic at the end of the campaign.
The Serbian has spent seven seasons with the Serie A outfit, but he is now eyeing a bigger challenge away from Italy.
United and Paris Saint-Germain are keeping tabs, but it appears the former are the front-runners to secure his signature.
According to Corriere dello Sport, United are in pole position to sign Milinkovic-Savic, who will demand a transfer.
Lazio are also open to selling him to recoup funds for other signings. He could be available for a fee of around €65m.
United's hierarchy are pressing forward with their long-term interest in the Serbian, whom they tried to sign him in 2019.
The final decision could, however, rest on Erik ten Hag, who is expected to become United's next manager this summer.
The Dutchman has been presented with a shortlist of summer targets, but will have the power to veto any player transfers.
