Liverpool are reportedly leading Manchester United in the race to sign Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni this summer.
The Merseyside giants have had a fantastic campaign, and they still have the chance of winning an unprecedented quadruple.
The onus will be on bolstering the squad further this summer, and Telefoot claims that the Reds are leading the hunt for Tchouameni.
Tchouameni was on the radar of Chelsea last summer, but the Blues decided against making a move due to his inexperience.
United have since entered the pursuit of the France international, but the lack of Champions League football will be a bitter blow for them.
Liverpool are now in talks with the player's representatives, and a deal worth £45m could be finalised over the next few weeks.
Tchouameni has been hugely impressive with his defensive work this term. He has averaged more than 2.5 tackles in the league.
He has also made a big impression for the World Cup winners. He recently netted the winning goal in a friendly against Ivory Coast.
