Lucho Gonzalez has revealed that he is waiting to see if Maxi Rodriguez joins Liverpool next season. The Porto frontman is being considered as a replacement for the Atletico midfielder.

“Nobody has contacted me, I have just read it in the papers and the web,” Gonzalez told Argentinian radio station FM 101.1.



“At Atleti it can depend on Maxi Rodriguez going to Liverpool or not. Besides manager Javier Aguirre is not sure he will stay next season.



“But still they have not contacted me.



“They are a great club. A move there would be welcomed. We have to wait and see what is going to happen.”
