Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has urged the hierarchy to sign Frenkie de Jong and Christian Eriksen at the earliest possibility.
De Jong has been the club's prime transfer target for the summer, but they have yet to negotiate a suitable fee with Barcelona for him.
The midfielder has given the go-ahead for the transfer, but they are still far apart from the €100m asking price set by the Spanish club.
There is some room for negotiations as the Blaugrana could accept €80m upfront, but United are yet to make an improved offer.
Ten Hag has now urged the hierarchy to push through a deal, and the same goes for Eriksen, who will be available on a free transfer.
Eriksen's contract with Brentford expires at the end of the month. United have already made an offer to the Denmark international.
It remains to be seen whether United can finalise the deals for the duo. Ten Hag wants them to be involved in the second half of pre-season.
