Having already made his debut for the Netherlands' international side, Devyne Rensch is already no stranger to playing at the very top. The Ajax right-back has emerged as one of the brightest young players in the Eredivisie in recent seasons, and the 19-year-old proudly already considers the right-back position in Ajax's first team as his own.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • Rensch came through VV Unicum's youth side before making a move to Ajax in 2016. Very quickly, the club's youth development team recognised the youngster's enormous talent. At 17-years-old, a chance with Ajax's youth side Jong Ajax emerged and very quickly Devyne was promoted to the full squad. Already, in under 2 years, Rensch has played in close to 50 games for the club's senior side.

Rensch is an incredibly versatile young player, capable of playing anywhere across defence. The player has enormous stamina and rapid acceleration that enables him to contribute to free-flowing attacks forward from defence. The defender is also very strong in the air, helping him to break up attacks from the opposition's long balls.

If you were to think of a style of football that would suit Rensch, Barcelona certainly comes to mind. The defender is in the Dani Alves mould, and is also an excellent passer  and comfortable moving the the ball through the lines.

Ajax have an explosive and raw talent on their hands. Rensch will be a name that most of the footballing world recognises very soon.
