Lippi: no offers on the table

01 May 2008 - 02:50

Marcello Lippi has insisted that he hasn't been offered any jobs despite rumours linking him with the job of Man City and Chelsea in recent weeks. Lippi has been unemployed since leading Italy to success in the World Cup.

  • Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Crystal Palace, Evans starts
  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • "I haven't been offered any jobs at the highest level," he claimed in GQ.

"Me as Spain Coach? They are a side of perennial underachievers and it would be a fascinating challenge.

"However, when you have won the World Cup with your national team and brought tears of joy to your compatriots and been welcomed back home by millions, you can't work for another country."
