Bailly has been on their radar for the past few months, and it is now claimed that they are prepared to make a formal approach.

The Ivorian is currently part of United\'s pre-season plans, but he is likely to be sold amid his desire to play regular first-team football.

Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof were preferred ahead of him last term, and the competition will become stiffer.

United are in advanced negotiations to land Lisandro Martinez from Ajax. He will be expected to make the starting line-up.

Hence, Bailly has no choice but to move on. He has been linked with several Serie A clubs and Napoli seem the most interested.

Bailly has two years left on his United contract with the option for 12 months, but he could be available for just €10 million.
