Arsenal are still interested in signing Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans this summer, The Telegraph claims.
The Belgian star was regarded as the Gunners main target for the transfer window, but they have yet to make a formal bid.
Leicester City want £30m for the 25-year-old, but the Gunners don't want to spend that much, considering his contract expires next summer.
Hence, they are prepared to play the long game to sign him, and believe the Foxes will eventually lower their transfer valuation.
Manchester United have also been linked with Tielemans, but Arsenal are not overly concerned as he is not their prime target.
United have their whole priority on landing Frenkie de Jong, and would only move for the Belgian as a last resort next month.
Arsenal have already agreed terms with Tielemans through his agent, who is working hard to convince the Foxes to lower the fee.
Tielemans has no plans of extending his contract with the Midlands outfit, suppose they decline to sell him this summer.
