Arsenal are still considered as the main priority of Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with the Belgium international this summer, but they have yet to make a formal approach.
Tielemans is currently valued at £30m by Leicester. Arsenal are reluctant to pay the fee as his contract expires in less than 12 months.
Hence, this has stalled his anticipated move to the Emirates, but Fabrizio Romano claims that Tielemans is still hopeful of joining them.
The 25-year-old agreed personal terms as early as April, but it is left to the Gunners to make a formal transfer offer for his services.
Arsenal are in no hurry at the moment, and believe they can force the Foxes to lower the price tag as the transfer window progresses.
Aside from the Gunners, Manchester United have been linked with him, but their interest in rather 'tentative' and not in any way strong.
The Red Devils are determined to sign Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong for now.
