The England international had a poor 2021/22 campaign with the Red Devils, and this has led to much criticism from fans.

Despite this, he is determined to prove his credentials, and is not contemplating a move away from Old Trafford.

According to Sport, the Blaugrana enquired over the possibility of signing Maguire during the negotiations for Frenkie de Jong.

However, their proposal was unsuccessful with Maguire making it clear that he does not want to leave the Red Devils this summer.

Maguire has been the subject of boos from United fans throughout pre-season, and the trend may continue into the new campaign.

He is still determined to make amends for his average performances last term, and has looked much better for United during pre-season.

Judging by his regularity in the line-up, Maguire looks set to start for manager Erik ten Hag in the season opener against Brighton.
