The Blues are keen on bolstering their central defensive department, and they have already signed Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli.

They are eyeing two more central defenders, and Sport1 report that the Blues are keeping tabs on the situation of Pavard.

Pavard is keen on leaving Bayern Munich this summer as he is eager to play regular football as a central defender next season.

The Blues are capable of offering him with regular minutes, but it may not be straightforward to secure his services from Bayern.

Bayern have not ruled out Pavard's exit this summer, but it would require a handsome amount of cash to convince them to sell.

Pavard was purchased from Stuttgart for around £32m, and Bayern may want to recoup the entire fee as well as make a profit.

This would mean a figure of around £40m. It remains to be seen whether the Blues make an approach for him in the coming days.
