Torino have agreed a fee with Ajax for centre-back Perr Schuurs, the 22-year-old defender who has been with the Amsterdam club since 2018. The Netherlands under-21 international agreed contract terms with Torino last week, and all that was left was for the Serie A side to agree on a fee with the Dutch giants.
Schuurs, who stands tall in defence at 6 foot 3, has made no secret of his plan to leave the Netherlands for a new challenge and is delighted to have finally wrapped up a dream move to Italy.
It is understood that Torino will pay 10 million euros up front for the player, and a further 3.5 million euros over 2 years depending on performances and Serie A league positions over the next three years.
Torino have beaten Eredivisie rivals PSV Eindhoven as well as Spanish club Villarreal in agreeing a deal for the defender, and Schuurs will undergo a medical in Italy on Tuesday morning before being presented to the media on Wednesday afternoon should all final arrangements go through smoothly.
