Hunt for David Villa hots up

Hunt for David Villa hots up

02 May 2008 - 16:55

The chase for Valencia star David Villa is certainly starting to gather pace as it is being reported that the Spanish club has now received offers from Tottenham, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd can finally sign Ederson for huge bargain fee
  • The 26 year old international has already stated his intention to move on from the Mestalla this summer after Euro 2008 in order to help balance the books for the fallen giants.

Villa himself has already indicated his intention to move to England and that would surely perk the interest of the Spanish managers, with Tottenham looking the most likely to bolster their attack.

“I think I'm made to succeed in England but of course it's one thing saying it and quite another getting there and then doing it," Villa said in April.

“The Valencia president always told me he wouldn't sell me until summer 2008. If an offer comes in I'm hungry to test myself in England.”

Despite his interest in playing in the Premiership, a €30 Million plus player offer may well be too tempting for Valencia to turn down should Real Madrid come calling.
