It seemed as if Tottenham were in pole position to land the talented forward, but now Barcelona have emerged as the favorites to sign the forward.



Villa will join Real Madrid for a rumoured 25m GBP from Valencia, who will be signing Esteban Granero in the opposite direction.



Villa is expected to partner Ruud van Nistelrooy up front next year.
