Manchester United are in talks with Newcastle United over a potential deal for goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.
The Red Devils are keen on landing a new shot-stopper before the transfer deadline with Erik ten Hag eyeing more competition for David de Gea.
De Gea was superb for United over the course of the 2021/22 campaign, but he has made a poor start this term with multiple goalkeeping errors.
He continues to remain the club's number one, but Ten Hag wants Dubravka in the squad such that the Spaniard does not take his place for granted.
According to Sky Sports, talks are underway between United and Newcastle for the Slovakian. The Red Devils are eyeing an initial loan deal.
They are prepared to pay £5m for a permanent move next summer, but the Magpies are yet to give the go-ahead for the potential transfer.
Dubravka has been demoted by the Magpies after the signing of Nick Pope, but they may still be reluctant to lose his services to United.
