Zidane set for QPR job?!

Zidane set for QPR job?!

04 May 2008 - 14:19

In perhaps the most bizare piece of speculation since it was rumoured that Rivaldo was off to White Hart Lane, the Sunday papers in Britain are suggesting that Zinedine Zidane will take over as manager of QPR.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The former France and Real Madrid star is being touted to take over the London club headed by Italian playboy and racing mogul Flavio Briatore.

Despite having zero coaching experience, the Sunday People has reported that the annoucement will be made this afternoon.

The chairman and club captain Gareth Ainsworth both contributed to the speculation.

“Sunday promises to be a day every QPR fan, old and young, remembers for the rest of their lives” remarked Ainsworth. He went on to invite the fans to "attend the dawn of a new era".

Briatore has promised to make a major announcement after the clubs last game of the season this afternoon.
