Arsenal have been fancied to swap Albert Sambi Lokonga for Manuel Locatelli at the turn of the year.
Lokonga had a difficult debut season with the Gunners, and there were suggestions that he could be loaned out.
The Belgium international ended up staying put, but his situation could change when the transfer window reopens.
According to Calciomercato, the Gunners are keen on landing Locatelli, having missed out on signing him last year.
Juventus have an obligatory buy clause of £30 million for Locatelli, and they are said to be planning to trigger it this winter.
They are prepared to sell him thereafter, but there could also be the possibility of a straight swap deal with Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta is interested in landing Locatelli despite his mixed spell in Turin. He could be signed in exchange for Lokonga.
It remains to be seen whether a deal materialises. Locatelli is still said to be determined to fight for his Bianconeri future.
