West Brom and Stoke City target James Beattie will be staying at Sheffield United, according to the club´s plc chairman Kevin McCabe.

  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • "We don't want to lose James and nor to we expect him to leave," said the plc chairman.

"He's as happy as Larry here and it's great to have him.Anyone who has spoken to James or who has seen him play will tell you that.

"James is subject to a long-term contract and that says everything. I accept that what happens in football is not always down to the clubs anymore.

"But we love having him, he's done exceptionally well, and we don't want to lose him."
