Barcelona have been keeping tabs on the progress of Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli during the World Cup in Qatar.

Brazilian winger wants to join Arsenal this summer

The Brazilian has been a revelation for the Gunners this term. He has registered five goals and two assists from 14 league games.

He currently with the Selecao at the World Cup and Mundo Deportivo claim that the Blaugrana have been keeping an eye on him.

Martinelli was the stand-out performer in his only start against Cameroon, and other than that, he has been a regular off the bench.

The youngster has not made a goal contribution, but it is claimed that manager Xavi Hernandez is nonetheless a huge admirer.

Martinelli\'s current deal with the Gunners expires in the summer of 2024, but the club have the option to extend for another two seasons.

Hence, they are in a strong position to keep him at the current point of time and should not be overly concerned over the interest from Barcelona.
