Georginio Rutter is set to make a dream move to the Premier League, after terms were agreed between the player's club 1899 Hoffenheim and the Elland Road outfit, and yesterday personal terms were agreed for the forward. Despite previous reports suggesting that the deal would be worth around 16 million euros, it is understood that a surprise 30 million euro fee has been agreed; with the player flying to England tomorrow to undergo a medical and complete remaining administrative requirements for his new contract.
The talented youngster arrives at Leeds United with a growing reputation, having emerged through Rennes' first-team before moving to the Bundesliga. Jesse Marsch is a manager who is familiar with Rutter's potential, having seen the player while coaching Red Bull Leipzig two years ago.
Rutter will sign a five-and-a-half-year contract with Leeds, and this represents a huge return on Hoffeinheim's initial investment, with the club paying just £800,000. The Rutter deal will smash the club's previous transfer record.
The France-under 21 star has scored 2 goals in 17 games so far this campaign for his club.
