Lescott happy with Everton

08 May 2008 - 21:51

Joleon Lescott has revealed he has been happy with Everton's progress this season. Lescott has also revealed he is eyeing a spot at centre back for the Toffees next year after a lengthy spell playing left-back for Everton.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • "I had never played left-back before I came here, I have played for England there and obviously for Everton there," Lescott told Sky Sports. "I would prefer to play centre-half to be honest. I made my debut for England at centre-half.

“Hopefully I can continue there for Everton. Hopefully next season we can sort that out - I want to play centre-half but it is more important for me to play at left-back for the team so I am more than willing to do that."
