Chelsea have opened talks with Lyon to sign Malo Gusto, according to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues have already spent over £150m on new signings this summer and their spending spree is set to continue.
They have been eyeing a new right-back for a while and Romano claims that talks are now underway for Gusto.
The Frenchman only made his breakthrough last term but he has already established himself with Les Gones.
He is attacking right-back by trade and the Blues see him as a potential deputy to Reece James for many years to come.
Chelsea have made an opening verbal offer for the defender but Lyon seem adamant to lose him at the moment.
The Ligue 1 outfit prefer to sell him in the summer and it remains to be seen whether the Blues can convince them.
Gusto has already agreed personal terms with the west London giants and a transfer will go through if a fee is agreed.
