Liverpool are expected to focus on the signing of Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount after ending their pursuit of Jude Bellingham.
The Reds have been long-term admirers of Bellingham but have ended their interest due to the hefty price tag set by Borussia Dortmund.
Dortmund value the England international at around £130 million and Liverpool have no plans of meeting the transfer valuation.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds have now turned their attention to Mount whose contract with Chelsea expires next summer.
The 24-year-old has been reluctant to pen a new deal with the Blues and he is widely expected to be sold in the next transfer window.
Chelsea are unlikely to offload him on the cheap and it has been reported that Liverpool may need to pay around £50-60 million.
Aside from Liverpool, Manchester United have also been linked with the Englishman, but he is not considered as a priority for them.
Mount prefers to stay in the Premier League over a move abroad.
