Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has a clear preference to join Liverpool this summer.
The Argentine has been a revelation for the Seagulls this term, bagging 11 goals and two assists in all competitions.
He has also excelled with his tackling, clearances and ability to win duels. He is expected to pursue a bigger challenge.
It is now reported by Football Insider that Mac Allister will leave the South Coast club shortly after the current season.
Manchester United and Newcastle United have been linked with him but Mac Allister prefers to move to Anfield instead.
The Reds have already opened talks with his entourage and they are expected to open talks with Brighton very soon.
The Seagulls are aware that Mac Allister wants to leave the club but they are expected to demand at least £60 million.
Mac Allister recently bagged the winning penalty in the 1-0 triumph over Manchester United to keep Brighton's Champions League hopes alive.
