Sporting Lisbon defender Goncalo Inacio has given the green light to join Manchester United this summer.
The Portuguese has had a fantastic season in the Primeira Liga and he is expected to push for a bigger challenge.
United have been following him for a number of months and O Jogo claim that they are the front-runners in the race.
Liverpool and Newcastle United are also interested in Inacio but the defender prefers the top project at Old Trafford.
The 21-year-old feels he can make the right progress under Erik ten Hag. It is left to be seen whether United move for him.
The Red Devils are expected to land a new centre-back this summer, considering Harry Maguire is set to make way.
Inacio is one of the defenders under consideration but they are also looking at the situation of Napoli defender Kim Min-jae.
Min-jae could be signed for his release clause worth €60m. On the other hand, Inacio has a €45m buy-out clause in his deal.
