Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is pushing to sign Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount this summer.
The Red Devils boss is keen on landing a creative midfielder and Mount is reportedly the top name on his radar.
It is now reported that the Dutch tactician has urged the hierarchy to make an early approach to sign the Englishman.
Arsenal and Liverpool are also interested in the 24-year-old but United have the upper hand in the player's pursuit.
Mount has the preference to join the Red Devils while Ten Hag also appreciates the qualities of the midfielder.
Ten Hag wanted to sign Mount on loan for Ajax in 2019 and he is now keen on working with him on a permanent basis.
Chelsea have yet to set a price for their graduate but reports claim that they could demand around £60m for him.
United may not pay such a fee. With Mount's deal expiring next summer, they may look to reduce the price tag.
