Chelsea have confirmed the arrival of goalkeeper Robert Sanchez from Brighton & Hove Albion on a permanent deal.
Sanchez lost his starting spot to Jason Steele at Brighton during the backend of last season, and he has now decided to pursue a new challenge.
The Spaniard has sealed a permanent transfer to Stamford Bridge. The Blues have paid an initial £25 million for the 25-year-old.
Sanchez will be expected to compete with Kepa Arrizabalaga for the number one role. The duo should be familiar with each other.
Sanchez and Arrizabalaga have made the Spain squad on numerous occasions, and they will now compete for the goalkeeping spot.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are still in talks with Brighton for Moises Caicedo. So far, they have failed to convince them to reduce the price tag.
Brighton are adamant that they won't part ways with Caicedo unless they receive a club-record fee in the region of £100 million this summer.
Chelsea have been reluctant to pay more than £80m.
