West Ham United have offered to pay £60 million to sign Manchester United duo Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay this summer.
Maguire and McTominay struggled for regular minutes under manager Erik ten Hag last season and they could leave the club soon.
The Hammers have made an improved offer of £30m for Maguire. They are optimistic that the figure could be sufficient to secure a deal.
Maguire currently earns a salary package of £190,000-a-week and United may need to compensate for his move to east London.
The Hammers are unlikely to pay him more than £100,000 weekly. A transfer could heavily depend on a huge pay-off from United.
Meanwhile, David Moyes' side have made a similar transfer bid for McTominay. They have no concerns over his salary.
United are likely to demand a higher transfer fee for the Scotland international as he is currently in the peak of his career.
Moyes is determined to sign both players in the coming weeks, and he is likely to urge the Hammers to meet the demands of United.
