Villarreal have Crouch in reserve

Villarreal have Crouch in reserve

13 May 2008 - 14:15

Spanish side Villarreal are keeping tabs on the situation surrounding lanky Liverpool striker Peter Crouch.

  • Chelsea to target UECL winner to replace Fernandez
  • Chelsea enter talks to sign Juventus full-back
  • El Submarino Amarillo are already looking forward to life in the Champions League next year, and are looking to bolster their already impressive forward line. It is thought they want to add Valladolid hitman Joseba Llorente to a squad already including Nihat, Jon Dahl Tommason and "Guilhe" Franco. This will be easier if Valladolid go down this season, but that should be unlikely. If they don't get their man, they are eying up Peter Crouch as an alternative. However, the word is that Crouch would favour a move back to the south of England, although Villarreal could offer him the lure of Champions League Football.
