Manchester United are reconsidering their plans to loan out Facundo Pellistri following the recent developments.
The Uruguayan has started the season as a back-up option behind Antony on the right wing, and he could continue in the same role.
Pellistri was touted to leave on loan earlier this summer, but the scenario has changed over the past couple of days.
Amad is currently injured until the New Year while the club have recently opted to release Mason Greenwood.
As a result, manager Erik ten Hag seems happy to keep Pellistri in the squad rather than sending him elsewhere.
The likes of Twente, Bologna and Sheffield United have proposed to sign him, but they are set to be disappointed.
Antony was poor with his performance against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend and he is currently under pressure.
If he fails to step up in the coming games, Pellistri could be handed the opportunity to start ahead of him on the right wing.
