Manchester United are expected to complete the signing of Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir this week.
The Red Devils have been on the search for a deputy goalkeeper and they have identified Bayindir as the ideal fit.
The Turkey international underwent a pre-medical in Athens on Tuesday and talks are now advanced with Fener.
United are ready to trigger the €7m release clause in his contract and he could travel to England in the near future.
Bayindir has already agreed personal terms over a five-year deal with United with the option for another 12 months.
He is prepared to play as the deputy to Andre Onana. The 25-year-old could be limited to minutes in the Cup matches.
He could feature in the Carabao and FA Cup games while Onana starts in the Premier League and the Champions League.
Aside from a new goalkeeper, United are desperately on the hunt for a new centre-back before the transfer window closes.
They are looking to secure an agreement for Nice's Jean-Clair Todibo.
