Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided a fresh injury update on Gabriel Martinelli ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Brazil international picked up a hamstring injury in the opening half against Everton last weekend and he was replaced by Leandro Trossard in the 24th minute.
The attacker subsequently missed the midweek Champions League group stage game against PSV Eindhoven, and Arteta has now provided a fresh update on him.
Speaking to reporters, the Gunners tactician said that the club are still assessing his injury and refused to rule him out of the north London derby at home on Sunday.
If Martinelli is fit, Arteta will have a selection headache on his hands, considering the splendid form for Trossard over the past two games in all competitions.
He scored the winner at Everton with a stunning left-footed strike and continued the good form against PSV with a goal and an assist. He deserves to start the derby on the left wing.
