Fiorentina are making a shock move for AC Milan forward Alberto Gilardino in the summer. The Italian international striker has decided that his future will be elsewhere after falling out of favour at Milan.

Gilardino is ready to take a significant pay cut in order to make the move to Fiorentina.



The forward has had three very disappointing season in Milan, and press reports have continued to link the player with a series of clubs.



Fiorentina boss Cesare Prandelli is pushing for the transfer funds to sign Gilardino, and it is expected that £8 million may be enough for the player to move.
