Manchester United don't have the option of recalling defender Alvaro Fernandez from his loan spell at Granada until January.
The Red Devils are currently facing an injury crisis in the left-back department with Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Sergio Reguilon injured.
The latter is not far away from making his comeback, but reports claim that United can't recall Fernandez until the beginning of next year.
The club graduate had a promising pre-season with the club, but he did not feature in the plans of manager Erik ten Hag for this campaign.
As a result, he was loaned out to Granada in Spain as soon as they signed Reguilon on a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
It is now revealed that United are helpless amid the injury crisis. They have a break clause for Fernandez which is only active in January.
They have included similar clauses on several players away from loan and a decision will be made when the transfer window reopens.
