Spanish club Villarreal have entered the race to sign Manchester United Facundo Pellistri in January, according to Sport.
Pellistri made his first-team debut for the Red Devils last season and he has since made a handful number of appearances for the club.
Despite this, he has barely made an impact with his performances and a transfer away could be a possibility next year.
Villarreal are one of his admirers and it is left to be seen whether United will consider his departure in the next transfer window.
With Amad Diallo close to returning to full fitness, the club could open the door to parting ways with the Uruguay international.
Pellistri is also on the radar of Boca Juniors and Gremio. Both clubs could also approach to sign him at the turn of the year.
The South American duo could propose to sign him on a temporary basis with an option for a permanent deal next summer.
