Chelsea are unlikely to explore a January deal for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The west London giants have had a poor start to the Premier League campaign and they are currently on 12 points after 10 games.
The club have lacked the presence of a proper goalscoring number nine and reports claim that they could sign a marquee striker in January.
However, that may not be Osimhen. The Nigerian has stalled over contract talks at Napoli and his current deal expires in the summer of 2025.
Despite this, the Blues have no plans of negotiating with Napoli in January knowing that owner Aurelio de Laurentiis is a tough man to please.
De Laurentiis is still optimistic of keeping Osimhen on a new contract and may only entertain offers for him during the summer transfer window.
Napoli valued Osimhen at a staggering €200 million last summer, but he could be available for half the price at the end of the campaign.
