Manchester United are very much interested in signing Jean-Clair from Nice during the January transfer window.
The Frenchman was on the radar of the Red Devils last summer, but a deal did not materialise due to Harry Maguire's decision to stay.
The club were preparing to part ways with the former captain to land him, but the Englishman made it clear that he did not want to leave.
Maguire has since turned around his fortunes at the club but there are now question marks over Raphael Varane's future.
Varane has not started a game for the past month and reports claim that he is likely to move on when the window reopens.
Amidst this, Florian Plettenberg claims that United are preparing a fresh move for Todibo irrespective of their interest in Antonio Silva.
Silva won't be sold by Benfica until the summer. United are prepared to wait for him, but are still looking into a winter deal for Todibo.
