Manchester United and Arsenal could compete to sign Santos striker Marcos Leonardo during the upcoming winter transfer window.
The Brazilian had a good 2023 season with Santos. He registered 21 goals from 50 appearances and is now expected to pursue a new challenge.
A move to Europe is his preferred choice and R7 claim that Arsenal are leading United in the pursuit of the highly-rated forward.
The Gunners are ready to pay around €17m for the young centre-forward, who has no plans of returning to pre-season with Santos.
Santos were recently relegated for the first time in their footballing history and Leonardo has no desire to play in the second tier for them.
The club are expected to respect his decision and will allow him to move for the right price. Arsenal seem in the front seat to sign him.
United are also keeping a close eye on his situation, but it seems they are more focused on landing Serhou Guirassy from Stuttgart.
