Chelsea have been told to pay £85 million to sign Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres during the January transfer window.
The Blues are currently 10th in the league standings with 22 points, 12 adrift of Manchester City for the final Champions League spot.
The club will be hoping to close the gap with an easier festive schedule, but it is quite clear that they need a marquee striker to lead the line.
Nicolas Jackson has misfired on several occasions and The Mirror claim that Gyokeres has been identified as the ideal transfer candidate.
However, the Sweden international won't come on the cheap at the start of the year with Sporting Lisbon reluctant to lose him at any price.
The Portuguese outfit will only allow him to leave the club next month if the Blues agree to meet the £85m release clause in his contract.
Gyokeres has been in sparkling form since his move from Coventry City last summer, scoring 16 goals and providing another seven assists.
