French club Lyon have opened talks to sign Arnaut Danjuma on loan for the remainder of the campaign, as the Dutch forward seems to be unhappy at Goodison Park and the current lack of first-team football. A recent turnaround in form at Everton appears to have coincided with Danjuma's slip down the pecking order, and now a transfer to France could be on the cards.
Danjuma had moved to Everton on loan from Villarreal, off the back of last season's spell on loan at Tottenham Hotspur. However, it appears that both periods have been unsuccessful.
Lyon have struggled so far this season in Ligue 1 and are on the lookout for fresh talent, with Danjuma their top target.
The player's agent, Michael Moses-Jarman told reporters: "There are conversations afloat, we've had interest. Look, he's happy and settled at Everton, he's got a contract, so it's only respectful that that's the way the conversation stands. He's not getting his minutes at the moment under Mr Dyche and what's best for his career is to play football. There's been interest and conversations ongoing with Lyon, it's been reported in the media, that's why I'll confirm it."
