Redknapp: England on our side

17 May 2008 - 10:28

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has insisted that the whole of the country is on his team's side as footballing home fans hope that the FA Cup does not go to Wales and Cardiff City.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • "I know we have to keep the cup in England," he said. "I feel the whole country is on our side.

"It will be nice to see an Englishman win it, you keep hearing an Englishman won't get to manage one of the top sides because he has no Champions League experience, but the only way you get that is by managing one of the top four."

Redknapp is sure to hope that in the future he is able to take Portsmouth to the Champions League one day, but the FA Cup Final could be the first milestone to success.
