Manchester United are interested in signing Brazilian midfielder Ederson from Atalanta this summer.
The Red Devils are on the hunt for a new defensive midfielder with Casemiro and Sofyan Amrabat expected to leave.
Amrabat has had a forgettable loan stint from Fiorentina and United have no plans of triggering the buy option available.
Meanwhile, Casemiro has regressed in his second year at the club and there are claims that he could move to Saudi soon.
Amidst this, it is reported that United are keen on the services of Ederson, who has been superb for Atalanta this term.
The Brazilian has seven goal contributions, but he has also excelled with his defensive qualities for the Bergamo side.
The 24-year-old has won 2.6 tackles per league game with 7.2 recoveries and 5.1 duels won. He has made 1.2 interceptions on average.
Atalanta are willing to sanction his sale in the summer, provided they receive a package in the region of €50 million from his suitors.
