Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has expressed his disappointment following the 2-2 Premier League draw against Liverpool.
The Red Devils were second best against the Reds in the first half at Old Trafford and they were lucky to be trailing by just one goal.
After the break, Bruno Fernandes scored a stellar goal from the centre line after a defensive mistake. Mainoo's stellar strike handed United the lead.
They looked on course for a surprise 2-1 victory, but Aaron Wan-Bissaka messed it up by gifting a penalty for the Reds in the 84th minute.
United managed to hold out for a stalemate in the end, but Mainoo was left disappointed with the inability to secure three points in the derby.
He said: "It left us disappointed. We worked hard to get into the game after a tough first half."
"We have given it away, ultimately we wanted the three points and it's a big game for us coming to the end of the season.
"To not come away with three points is tough to take."
