Manchester United have suffered a fresh injury blow with Scott McTominay expected to be sidelined for three weeks.
The Scotland international hyperextended his knee during the Premier League clash against Chelsea on the road last week.
As a result, he was ruled out of the Liverpool game. It is now reported that he has been picked up a fresh knee problem.
The setback is not said to be serious, but the Scot could be sidelined for two to three weeks depending on the rehabilitation.
This is a huge blow for the Red Devils, considering McTominay has made some vital goal contributions this campaign.
He has netted seven times in the Premier League this term which have helped United pick up 12 addition points.
Without him, United would be in lower table and manager Erik ten Hag may have been dismissed from the helm.
The fans will be hoping that McTominay will return as soon as possible as United fight to qualify for European football.
