Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed two positions that could be strengthened during the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils have had plenty of injury concerns this season which has contributed to their poor campaign in the Premier League.
Ten Hag has spoken about the same publicly and has now revealed two positions that could be reinforced during the summer.
He told BBC Sport: "You need more options. You need double positioning in every position.
"Some positions we didn't have the choices this season - the striker position, the left-back position - and that has a negative impact on the results."
Rasmus Hojlund has not had much support up front in the campaign with Anthony Martial picking up multiple injury concerns.
Martial's current deal expires at the end of June and reports claim that United have decided to offload him on a free transfer.
Meanwhile, United don't have a left-back at the moment with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia out of action with respective injuries.
Malacia has missed the entire campaign with a knee problem. United are expected to sign a new left-back irrespective of his return.
