Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez could undergo a surgery for a hernia following the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City this weekend.
The Argentine has been playing through pain for the past few months and he was recently rested for the Premier League win over Everton.
Fernandez is anticipated to return for the FA Cup semi-final against the Cityzens, but he could undergo a surgery soon after the game.
Show Sport Canal claim that it would take three weeks for him to recover and he could be involved in the FA Cup final if the Blues make it.
Chelsea have had a dreadful campaign by their high standards, but they have shown promise in recent weeks with some quality victories.
The Blues are currently only three points behind seventh-placed Manchester United with a game in hand. They are well in the mix for Europe.
The club also have the chance to end the season with silverware. If they beat City, they could face Coventry City or Manchester United in the final.
